Hello all!I am so sorry for not having written a blog update earlier- things have been busy and to be quite honest, I can't be bothered with the Internet anymore. It's so boring, but I do realize there are some of you who are desperate to know how things are going.. e.g. Mum, Dad!!!Anyway, also, sorry about the photo situation- I have tried to upload photos from our first holiday etc and more recent ones, but each time I do so, it only ever does about half of them… so today is the first time I have been able to upload all the photos I wanted! We are now coming to the end of our second project and we are all (well mostly the girls) beginning to become very teary and sad… none of us can bear the thought of leaving each other and the place to which we have all become so accustomed and comfortable in. The thought of not being with 11 other young Christians 24/7 is certainly a scary thought and the support we are for one another is indescribable- so that will be sorely missed. In terms of the building project, here is a list of the work that we have completed so far- we have dug about 16 holes- the majority of which are 1m80 by 1m80 b 1m50, we have cut millions of metal poles to the right lengths, we have bent poles, we have wheel barrowed lots of sand, we have made cement and filled holes, we have dug trenches, we have erected 10m metal poles and attached metal clips with wire, we have moved rocks from one pile to another about 10 times… this is the majority of the work, excluding of course talking with the Peruvians who work with us (Eduardo, Jimmy, Cesar, Jose, Amos, Jhan, Junior, Pastor Samuel, Pedro…). This has certainly been a very different project to the initial one, and I have felt that I have become a lot closer to the people from this church. Some days have been hard as we have arrived at the building site and not had any work to do as we always have to wait for the maestro Jimmy to come and tell us what to do…. Often he doesn't arrive until almost an hour after us. So, at times it has been frustrating as we have wanted to work but been unable to.Last week, a group of American evangelists came for four days and helped out on the building site. They were from places like Alabama, California, Oregon (can't spell it!) and unfortunately I can't remember the names of the other places. It took some time getting used to working with them and we would often have to give them our jobs as there were not enough jobs for everyone. It would end up with about 5 people cutting a metal pole- 4 people holding and one cutting! Quite ridiculous, but it was fun. This week is going to be very busy… tonight the church are holding a leaving party for us, tomorrow night, we are cooking a meal for Felipe- our host, every lunch and dinner are being prepared for us by the pastors wife… I am looking forward to it, but am certainly not looking forward to the goodbyes. Our team is getting on very well and there doesn't seem to have been any bad arguments or relationship clashes. We had a concert a couple of weeks ago which went okay, although not many people turned up due to bad advertising so we actually had to go out into the main square to invite people after the concert had actually started! Ooops! One big thing to pray for is that we would have continued safety as we go to Cusco on the bus and once we are there, as we have been so fortunate to have not have had any issues with safety or stealing since we arrived here in Peru (Praise the Lord!). It has been on Katy's heart that we really need a lot of prayer concerning this.

Please also continue to pray for energy, good health and high spirits as we go on our team holiday and spend time reflecting on what we have just done in the past 3 months. Please pray that it would be a relaxing time and that we would be able to prepare for coming home.

Thank you

Lots of love

Delphine
