Angela
Having given up my Toyota minivan, and tunerd it into a storage pod for charitable giving, life has become about a bike. Some philosopher needs to do an adaptation of Robert Persig's Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance with reference to the metaphysics of quality and how it relates to a lengthy bike journey through life. I like Dead-Head, and former NBA bizarro, Bill Walton who is an avid biker (check out a piece on him at adventurecorps) who told the San Diego Union: “My bike is my wheelchair, my gym and my church, all in one. You have it all: pain, spirituality, and gain!Hearty endorsement for Enduro Master K's endorsement of eco-vacations. Usually spending time south of Cancun, I can vouch there are good eco-hotel/resort and tour options. You do not have to worry about alot of clothes and can have an educational and fun time out in nature (not to mention with dazzling sea creatures) without burning large amounts of gas or oil. The last place I stayed (a beach affair of happy eco-travelers) even served inspired libations in reinforced, and disposable, green sacks. Granted this was a bit odd but I suppose to relax with your sack on the beach is preferable to sitting on the curb.
