we're thinking of you often. Your little cousin, Rhiannon is growing big. Her mom (me) and her have a ritual of getting tightly swaddled for bedtime and dancing to Pachabel's canon so that sleep can take her over and it seems to be working quite well. We look forward to seeing you all in a few months. Your travel to Morocco reminded me of living in Africa years ago-going to different lands changes your perspective on life and the world. you're blessed both of you.
with love and fondness,
Maddie, Steve and baby Rhiannon

Wow. Setti Fatma sounds just incredible. The great hikes and the fascinating hay ladies. This sounds better than camels in the desert, if you ask me.
The photos are really great, and the descriptions of Morocco have been beautifully evocative. I like a lot of the photos of Barcelona, and can't wait to read your blog about it.

Hi Rebecca,
I have LOVED reading about your travels. I must confess, I am a little addicted to your updates and, therefore, am dismayed that I haven't heard from you in awhile. I hope everything is okay and am looking forward to your next report.
Lots of love,
Lucy
p.s. 2+1=3, right?

Rebecca,
I am amazed by the sheer diversity of experiences you are having in Morocco. I think I am happy that you are becoming strange...we all have to become strangers to ourselves in order to open to the Otherness in the world (Julia Kristeva - read her wonderful Strangers to Ourvselves).
I love the photos, especially of the people, and of the square of Marakkesh at sunset. So strange...
Thank you for the phone call on mother's day. I'm sorry we were not able to pick up, but it was great to hear your voice.
Love, Dad

Well I'm going to try again and hopefully this message will get thru to you. I sent a previous message to you via Scott. I'm enjoying your travel-log. Very inspiring, beautiful images and wonderful descriptions of your joys and struggles. What an experience! I now have a travel bug inside of me! I look forward to hearing how you are faring in Morocco. I will be away from 5/11-5/19. Will catch you later. Love, Meri

Strange and difficult - - - I'm sure it is. Being in these moments together is a gift you are each giving yourselves and each other. The difficulty will pay off in years of sharing the memories you are building now.

great posts! what an incredible experience you guys are having. I'm glad you have a blog.

So much has happened to you guys since your blog from Granada. I'm really sorry that the festival was a bust - and appaprently rudely so. But I am so glad that you were able to enjoy Seville anyway. I loved your intricate description of the flamenco dancing.
And Morocco seems to be so wonderfully strange and different. And I know how much you love that. I can't wait to hear more about your experiences in this strange land.

Wow. It is really fun going on your trip with you. When I was in Europe as a student 20 years ago I sent home letters on those little onion skin airmail letters that folded into envelopes. I was always amazed they made the trip. I am so very very envious of you, I regret to say! The photo of Rome at night made me feel like I could SMELL the air. Heavenly. Love, Michele

I am so glad hear that you are both having a blast! I love all of your pictures. You both are missed! love jami and chris.

We're really enjoying your posts. Several of them bring back wonderful memories--our hike through Cinque Terra for one. It was gorgeous, very hot, and one of us who doesn't believe in walking complained a lot. I could do it again any time.
