Well, im here i made just, ha!!!!
Twas one hell of a journey but first we had a scare, we got to heathrow everything seemed supicously smooth until we got to check in. As we were doing everything off the cuff we didnt have an outboard ticket out of Thailand which was one of the conditions of the 30 day free visa, which we had no knowledge of, then we had to buy a tick from thailand to Quala Lumpur for 182 pounds but was fully refundable, so we have to get that sorted with Qatar hq in bangkok.
After that palava the flight was good, very comfortable with good films/tv shows etc included and complimentary drinks throughout the flight but then we had to stop in Doha in Qatar for 1 hour to re-connect to Bangkok. We eventaully landed at about 12:00 in the afternoon and wandered over to Khosan rd to find some accomodation which i so wished we'd organised before we left but hey its an adventure. We found a place called Rambuttri village, its ok we fancied something with a bit of luxury for our first couple of days like hot water, air con etc. then we will slum it.
As soon as we checked in around 13:00 we decided to sleep for an hour as wer were knackerd but none of us woke up til 19:30, woops!!! so we went out amongst it straight away for a bit of food and drinks. We went to this cool irish bar which played live music with the old classics like oasis and chumbawumba (Must have been a big hit out here) we spoke to some local Thai women who wer friendly (They werent ladyboys or w****s just to set the record straight). Then we ended up in this other bar which played live rock music was well lively, we got chucked outa there at 2:00 am and wandered over to this place not far from our hotel with these guys we met in the last bar, a guy from cardiff, a guy from norwich a couple from germany and a girl from france. it was a well good first night we were all drinking chang and sang sung whiskey buckets there till about 7:30 am and i was smashed to say the least. we then swapped a few e-mail addresses coz i think they want to meet up again when we go to Pattaya. We then went to bed and didnt wake till 19:30 at night, so a day has gone missing somewhere which is not good and vowed not to drink that much again. (Yeah right)
Tonight we went to the night markets in Pat Tong and bought a fake watch and a couple of beeds, as you do and wandered up some alley that looked well lively and then after buying a drink we twigged it must be a gay scene as every guy was getting a little too intimate with their mates if you know what i mean, so we scarperd from there back to khosan rd in a tuc-tuc and i thought i was going to die, the driver looked like he was blind as well which didnt calm my nerves and we nearly crashed twice, but that just fuelled our laughter as we were in histerics. Then we got to the lights where another tuc-tuc was stationary with other tourists so we were givin the driver some banter to race them and before we had even started the driver pulled this wheeley i havent a clue how he did it with 4 of us in the back and sped off passed them, absolutley nuts but worth every bhat!!!!
Now we've just been drinking in another bar nearer our hotel discussing what we're gona do tomorrow which will be to get up early do as much sight seeing as possible and to organise some trips.
So i bid you farewell until my next blog where i will let you know what happens. i hope i dont die, ha ha!!!!
Loving it, out here!!!
Miss you all
