Friday June 6 - Poor memory. At some point, Alan, Sarah, Main, Michael, and myself were all in Flat 1 playing cards. Around 6:25pm we headed down to the visitor's flat to eat free food with Kristin's family. Interesting family - each of us got insulted by Kristins father and I was special enough to get added insults from her brother as well (anti-Minnesota(n) jokes). Luckily her mom was wise and halted the continued barrage of attacks. Ate hamburgers and potatoes, then said goodbye to her family (they were flying out that night). Stayed at the visitor's flat awhile longer playing cards and then headed off to bed.
Saturday June 7 - Sad day, only one week left. Spent a good deal of the day studying for my exam and being generally lazy. At some point somethings must have occurred. Right. I think Michael and I watched A Knight's Tale - he was very snotty that day. Michael that is, not any of the actors in the movie.
Sunday June 8 - Fun day today. Woke up and headed over to Freo with Michael and Alan to the Maritime museum. There were only two submarine tour slots left so Alan was nice enough to let Michael and I go on it. The museum was pretty interesting and the submarine was great. Michael was pretty much bent over the entire tour - think the inside was built with short people in mind. He decided to give up his dream of being a submariner. After the tour Michael got some food and then we headed back to Murdoch. Started a big round of cards with Main, Sarah, Michael, Alan, and I but then I had to go study for my exam some more. Kristin came over at some point as they played, but then they all left. Since we were scheduled to have flat inspections on Monday I had to complete my duty for the week - kitchen appliances. Our kitchen is a horrible mess. I went out at 11:30 pm to go clean it up and stupid Stefanie and her friends had decided to start baking then. At 11:30 at night! So since they would just be making my duty dirtier, I got frustrated and headed over to check on Michael. Since he's in the same room number, he has the same duties and he was busy cleaning his flats kitchen when I got there. I vented my frustration and helped him clean up a little. Then we watched part of some strange old movie on TV and then headed up to Flat 1. By this time it was about 2:30 am and finally the kitchen was empty. Starting working on it when lo and behold Stefanie and her posse of Asians storms back into the kitchen with all their dirty dishes and starts washing them. Because this cuts me off from the sink, I then had to stop cleaning yet again. I was getting VERY ticked. Finally they got the heck out of the kitchen and let me scrub the inch of grease off the stove tops etc. SO long story short I was up until 4am the night before my exam, not a good idea.
Monday June 9 - Exam day. And bad day for Kat. Got up around 11:30, showered and made breakfast for myself (eggs and toast) then got back to some last minute studying. Then went and took my exam. Overall I think it went ok, there were some questions I knew right away, and some I didnt know at all, but I think it will all even out in the end. Got back to Flat 1 and realized I had locked my keys into the room. Since the office closed at 4:30 and it was about 4:27 I ran down to the office. Got there at 4:28 and the door was locked and the secretary inside ignored my knocks and frantic waving. Soooo I headed over to Michael's to, yet again, vent frustration. He was sympathetic and even gave me Subway cookies. That was nice. We made plans to go to the casino around 8 and talked for a bit. Went up to the RSO (the other office run by the RA's - very limited hours) and realized I had dawdled too long and they weren't opening up again until 8. So I headed to flat 1 to invite Sarah and Alan to the casino and couldn't find Alan. Left him a note on toilet paper inviting him then went to go down to Kristins to invite her. On the way down I ran into Alan who had been supposedly looking for me - ironic. Continued to Kristins, talked to her for a bit, then she let me watch some Planet Earth on her computer - I want a baby polar bear! At 8 I went and got my room unlocked then quickly semi-changed for the casino. Sarah didnt end up coming so it was just Michael, Alan, Kristin, and myself going. We had bad luck with transportation - having to wait ~ 20 minutes countless times and finally got to the casino. By then I realized I hadn't eaten anything since my breakfast (and apparently neither had Michael) so we got some food before going into the casino. Went into the casino and we all played Casino Wars. I lost... a lot. Michael won a lot, Kristin won a little, and Alan lost a little. We then headed back to Murdoch. On the first train, the security came through to check tickets and SmartRider cards. Background info - my card is slightly damaged as in almost cracked in two and takes a little persuasion in order to be read by the scanners. BUT it still works and I dont feel like spending $10 to replace it when I'm only here for a few more days. SO the guys with the scanners grab my card, bending it further and nearly breaking it in half completely. I tried to explain that it still works but since they were moronic troglodytes they just kept insisting that I was wrong and a card that damaged could not possibly work and that once I got to my destination I was going to get fined for not paying my fare etc and so on. I was very, very pissed. I even offered to let them watch me make it work. Whatever, so then we switched trains at Perth and a few stops in, new security guards coming around to check tickets. And of course, these guards were courteous and my card worked on their scanner. Stupid original guards. Right, while waiting for the second train I found my bouncy ball in my purse and it managed to escape onto the tracks after being bounced off of Michael's head by Kristin. That was another downer. Back at flat 1, played 9 rounds of golf and I'm pretty sure I lost, it was either myself or Michael losing but we didnt add up the last round (Kristin beat us all by about 60 points or more). Then everyone left and I decided to update my blog. Now I'm going to sleep because we're going to Caversham Wildlife Park tomorrow, yay! Goodnight
BONUS: They never came to inspect the flats today... #^@&%#&!!!!!!!!!!
