Today is our fifth day at sea and the eleventh day of our cruise. I'm slipping into that don't wanna leave mode. Don't wanna get up, don't wanna do nothing.
We had to get up and out, so that Keith could clean the room. His break was coming and so Hope and I had to get a move on.
We opted out of the Belly Dancing class today. Heck, the way the ship was swaying, that class may have been alright. LOL. Instead we opted to eat.
The dining room was packed with folks and the lines were long. The ship was really rocking today. I actually found myself trying not to bump into anyone. It's almost impossible to walk a straight line. The winds are also extrememly high.
After brunch (we seemed to wander up to the Windjammer somewhere between breakfast and lunch), I decided to retreat to the cabin, while Hope headed out to enjoy her itinerary for the day.
I sat on the balcony for a while, enjoying the final warm breezes of the day.
Around 2 P.M., Hope comes to get me to head up to the Schooner Bar, for "Battle of the Sexes" games. Of course, when we get there, the same folks are planted in front. We could arrive an hour ahead of time and the seats would still be filled.
The games were pretty funny.
I also feel a spot on my ankle that was kinda itching. As I looked at it closer, I told Hope that I believe I have a mosquito bite. She says, "now how did you get that?" I'm like, "heck, I don't know. Just hope I don't get the Zika Virus, then my child baring years will be over." We both just laughed.
Hope wanted to hit the slots. All the while telling me to tell her, "STAY OUT OF THAT CASINO." I'm like yeah right. Now, why would I waste those precious breaths to do that? I played around and lost some money. Mind you, I probably only made Royal Caribbean International richer by about $40 today. I had another watcher standing near me at the Quarter Pusher machine. After a while I left her standing there. I don't know why people do that. Not sure if they're trying to pick up on my strategy or if they're hoping I leave some quarters in the bin. This game is truly not new and I've been playing it since my 1st cruise back in 1989.
After that Hope decided she was going to go to try her luck at Bingo, again. I'm telling you, at $40 a pop, I don't care if they were giving away 100 cruises, I wasn't about to make RCI any richer.
Hope came to nab me for dinner. She said that Sherri was going roller skating. I said, "More power to Sherri."
We headed up to the dining room. The menus look just about the same for each dining room, but they may add just a single different item each time. I was glad they put the dining rooms on our daily itinerary's, because I wouldn't know which dining room to head to, each night.
After dinner I left Hope, Erma and Gigi and headed back to my spot. THE CABIN. I sat on the balcony a while. The breezes are pretty chilly now and I can't sit out too long.
Worked on my packing bit. Didn't have to do too much to do with that, as I packed away dirty clothes each day.
Crawled in bed and tended to my blog.
